Work Environment This position operates primarily within a remote setting, allowing for flexibility in work-life balance. While routines are generally structured within standard Monday to Friday hours, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, occasional evening hours may be required based on appointment availability, ensuring that clients can access care when they need it most. Our outpatient office environment fosters a collaborative atmosphere, encouraging regular communication and teamwork among staff. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients' mental health statuses and substance use histories, enabling you to discern the presence of any co-occurring disorders. Engage in collaborative discussions with clients to devise personalized treatment plans that encompass both mental health issues and substance use needs, employing evidence-based interventions. Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at empowering clients with coping skills, relapse prevention strategies, and emotional regulation techniques. Coordinate care with an interdisciplinary team, facilitating communication between mental health and addiction specialists to create cohesive treatment strategies. Regularly monitor clients' substance use and practice motivational interviewing techniques, fostering engagement and commitment to recovery goals. Educate clients and their families on the relationship between mental health and substance use disorders, emphasizing the importance of adherence to treatment plans. Document all aspects of client treatment progress accurately, maintaining compliance with ethical standards and legal guidelines. Participate actively in case conferences, engage in ongoing staff training, and contribute to team meetings aimed at enhancing treatment efficacy for co-occurring disorders. Patient Population / Client Focus The ideal candidate will work with a diverse clientele struggling with co-occurring disorders that encompass a range of mental health issues and substance-related challenges. This population often experiences significant societal stigma, making your role crucial in providing both clinical support and empathetic understanding as clients navigate their recovery pathways. Qualifications A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. Current, valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Arizona. Proficiency in evidence-based treatments tailored to co-occurring disorders, particularly Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI). Strong interpersonal skills that facilitate effective collaboration within a diverse, multidisciplinary team. Solid understanding of the complexities that intertwine mental health and substance use disorders. Preferred Experience A minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience, specifically in settings focusing on co-occurring disorders. Experience in outpatient environments, adept at providing services within a team-oriented framework while adapting to the evolving needs of clients. Compensation and Benefits The salary range for this position is competitive, ranging from
USD 75,000
to 100,000 annually, with additional bonus opportunities.
