We're part of Criticore, a growing electrical contracting platform with operations in Arizona and California. Our people take pride in quality work, safe jobsites, and long-term client relationships. The Role We're looking for an experienced Electrical Estimator to build accurate, competitive bids for commercial and industrial projects. You'll own estimates from first plan review to final proposal, and you'll work closely with our Sales, Project Management, and Operations teams. The goal is winning profitable work and setting our field crews up to succeed. If you can take a bid package and confidently produce a complete estimate on your own, we want to talk to you. What You'll Do Review drawings, specifications, addenda, and bid alternates to understand full project scope Perform detailed material and labor takeoffs and complete estimates independently through final recap Solicit and level vendor and subcontractor quotes for gear, lighting, low-voltage, and specialty scopes Spot scope gaps and risks, and submit RFIs during bidding Prepare proposal letters, bid forms, qualifications, and clarifications Present estimates to clients and general contractors, and develop value engineering alternates Attend pre-bid meetings and job walks Lead turnover meetings to hand off awarded projects to the project team Keep estimates aligned with the NEC and local codes What You Bring 5+ years of commercial and/or industrial electrical estimating experience, or a strong mix of estimating and field experience (Journeyman Electrician, Project Engineer, etc.) Proven ability to complete an electrical estimate without guidance, from takeoff through recap Strong working knowledge of the NEC, electrical systems, and construction methods Experience with McCormick preferred Intermediate Excel skills Bluebeam Revu experience a plus Clear written and verbal communication, including proposal writing Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered Professional estimating certification (e.g., ASPE CPE) a plus Valid driver's license, a satisfactory driving record, and the ability to pass a background check What We Offer Competitive salary Eligible for benefits on first day of employment Medical / Dental / Vision insurances Employer paid Life Insurance ($50k) + short-term & long-term disability Vacation / PTO / Holidays + Flex Holiday Cell phone allowance Opportunities for development and career growth Ongoing training and professional development through Grow with Criticore Career growth with a growing, multi-location electrical contracting platform
