Position Overview We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and self motivated Electrical Estimator to lead our lighting quotations department in the Scottsdale Airpark. This position focuses exclusively on architectural lighting quotations for projects designed by our firm. We do not estimate general electrical construction, only our lighting package for product only. Our design team develops the lighting design, and our quotations team turns that design into an accurate, complete product quotation. As the lead of our quotations department, you will oversee the quotation process from start to finish and serve as the primary point of contact for quotation-related questions and requests coming into and going out of our product department. You will work closely with our design team, manufacturers, representatives, contractors, and customers. You will also manage and direct a quotations associate who handles much of the day-to-day production work. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone with solid construction or electrical estimating experience who is comfortable taking ownership of a department while still being involved in estimating and problem-solving. Key Responsibilities Manage and prioritize the quotations department's daily workload Direct, train, and support the quotations associate responsible for day-to-day production work Review the associate's work and provide guidance when questions or issues arise Prepare and oversee accurate lighting quotations based on architectural drawings, specifications, and our designers' lighting plans Review drawings and specifications to identify lighting products, quantities, and project requirements Take ownership of more complex quotations and contractor or vendor requests Serve as the primary point of contact for quotation-related questions and requests within the product department Work closely with our design team to ensure quotations accurately reflect the designer's intent Coordinate information between the design, product, and quotations teams Communicate with lighting manufacturers, representatives, electrical contractors, and general contractors Maintain organized pricing, product information, and project documentation Review completed quotations for accuracy and ensure work is completed on schedule What We're Looking For 5+ years of experience in construction estimating, electrical estimating, quotations, or a related field Experience working with contractors, vendors, manufacturers, or construction-related projects Ability to read and understand architectural drawings and construction documents Strong attention to detail and accuracy Organized and able to manage multiple active quotations and requests Confident, professional communication skills Comfortable taking ownership of questions and seeing them through to resolution Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Bluebeam Ability to type 60+ words per minute.
