Job Description
Restoration Sales & Project Manager / Estimator Restoration company is looking for a confident, experienced, and highly customer-focused Restoration Sales & Project Manager / Estimator to manage residential restoration projects from the initial onsite estimate through project completion and final payment. Restoration experience is preferred, but proven sales ability, confidence with homeowners, and the ability to close jobs are our highest priorities. This is primarily a sales, customer relationship, and project management position within the restoration industry. We provide incoming leads and scheduled appointments. Your responsibility is to meet with homeowners, inspect the affected areas, understand their concerns, build trust, determine the appropriate scope of work, present pricing, close the project, and manage the customer and field crew through completion. This is not primarily a technician position. We can provide field crews to complete the physical work. Your main responsibility is to sell the project, manage the customer relationship, coordinate the work, and make sure the project is completed properly from beginning to end. What Matters Most to Us 90% of success in this position comes down to your ability to communicate with customers, build trust, and book the job. Technical restoration knowledge is important, but it is not the #1 priority for this role . We need someone who knows how to: Build trust quickly with homeowners Make customers feel comfortable and understood Communicate naturally and confidently Listen carefully to the customer's concerns Explain problems and solutions clearly Become the person the customer trusts during the project Build a strong relationship with the homeowner Present pricing with confidence Handle objections professionally Ask for the sale and book the job Maintain communication from the first appointment through project completion Keep the customer comfortable and confident throughout the process Our goal is not to pressure customers. Our goal is to earn their trust . The ideal candidate knows how to walk into a customer's home as a stranger and leave as the person the homeowner feels comfortable calling, texting, and trusting with their property. You are not simply selling remediation services — you are becoming the homeowner's trusted point of contact during a stressful situation . If you are technically strong but uncomfortable speaking with customers, presenting pricing, building relationships, handling objections, or closing jobs, this position will probably not be a good fit. If you are excellent with people, know how to build trust, and know how to turn qualified appointments into booked projects, we want to talk to you. Responsibilities Travel to scheduled customer appointments throughout the Los Angeles area Meet directly with homeowners and property decision-makers Perform onsite estimates for mold remediation and water damage restoration projects Inspect affected areas and determine the appropriate scope of work Clearly explain the problem, recommended solution, process, timeline, and pricing Prepare and present estimates Handle customer questions and objections Close and book restoration projects Obtain signed work authorizations and required project documents Coordinate project scheduling with field crews Provide crews with clear scopes of work and instructions Visit active jobsites and monitor project quality and progress Check that crews are following the approved scope of work Review jobsite photos, videos, and documentation Maintain communication with customers throughout the entire project Visit jobsites when necessary to address customer concerns or project changes Identify additional affected areas or hidden damage discovered during remediation Explain additional work to customers Prepare and obtain approved change orders Look for legitimate additional work and upsell opportunities when additional damage or scope is discovered Handle project-related customer concerns Coordinate with field crews to keep projects moving Perform final walkthroughs Make sure projects are completed properly Help ensure final balances are collected Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction from the first appointment through final payment Project Management Responsibilities The Project Manager is responsible for the project from beginning to end .
