Project Estimator - Electrical

Irvine, CA Direct-Hire $80000.00 - $95000.00 Onsite Job Description

Position Overview Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking an experienced Project Estimator specializing in electrical construction for an Irvine-based company. This direct hire position is perfect for someone with field experience in electrical construction projects, offering growth potential and competitive pay. Responsibilities

Analyze blueprints for accuracy and completeness.

Determine fixture, device, and equipment quantities as well as power requirements.

Calculate wire sizing and voltage drop percentage with the assistance of a program.

Utilize takeoff software to provide total counts and measurements.

Maintain and keep track of bid invitations and assist with prioritizing the bid pipeline.

Review and send drawings to suppliers for quotes, file, and organize quotes upon receipt.

Qualifications

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel.

Ability to read and interpret Structural, Architectural, and MEP drawings.

Experience with quantity takeoff and utilizing estimating software; Bluebeam preferable.

Ability to analyze and overlay new drawings to identify changes from previous sets.

Self-starter with the ability to work independently and prioritize workload to meet stringent deadlines.

Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assist in value engineering recommendations.

Construction experience required.

Required Work Hours Monday to Friday, first shift, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Location Irvine, CA. This is a full-time, in-office role. Salary $75,000 - $95,000 per year, based on experience.
