In this pivotal role, you will lead the electrical estimating process for diverse projects, ensuring accurate cost projections and competitive pricing. Your expertise will help drive project success from initial bid to final contract, supporting our commitment to delivering high-quality electrical installations on time and within budget. Responsibilities Prepare detailed electrical estimates by analyzing project plans, specifications, and scope of work using industry-standard estimating software such as PlanHub, HeavyBid and Bluebeam. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to develop accurate cost proposals that align with project requirements and client expectations. Conduct thorough quantity takeoffs, material pricing, labor cost analysis, and subcontractor negotiations to ensure competitive and profitable bids. Review contracts, technical drawings, and specifications to identify potential risks or discrepancies that could impact project costs or timelines. Manage cost control throughout the project lifecycle by monitoring expenditures, updating estimates as needed, and providing insights for project adjustments. Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors through effective negotiation to secure favorable pricing and terms. Ensure compliance with all relevant codes and standards such as NEC (National Electrical Code) during estimation processes. Skills Extensive experience in construction estimating with a focus on electrical systems and installations. Proficiency in industry tools including Bluebeam for digital plan review and HeavyBid for comprehensive estimating tasks. Solid understanding of construction management principles, contracts, project management practices, and cost control strategies. Strong negotiation skills to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards. Deep electrical experience coupled with construction site knowledge to accurately assess scope and costs. Familiarity with NEC (National Electrical Code) requirements for electrical safety and compliance. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with internal teams, clients, vendors, and subcontractors effectively.
