Construction Estimator

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our team and drive successful project bids from conception to completion. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project plans, and collaborating with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and project feasibility. Your expertise will help us secure new projects while maintaining strict cost control measures and high-quality standards. Duties Review detailed construction drawings, specifications, and project documents to develop comprehensive estimates. Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to prepare precise cost calculations and bid proposals. Conduct site visits to gather on-the-ground information that influences cost and scheduling estimates. Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and vendors to negotiate pricing, scope of work, and contract terms. Analyze project bids for accuracy, completeness, and competitiveness while ensuring alignment with client requirements. Monitor project costs during execution to support cost control initiatives and identify potential overruns early. Prepare detailed bid packages, including scope of work, pricing breakdowns, and contractual documentation. Skills Proficiency in construction estimating tools such as Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and other industry-standard software. Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with subcontractors and suppliers. Solid understanding of construction processes, site management, and contract administration. Experience in cost control techniques and pricing strategies within the construction industry. Ability to interpret complex construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents. Excellent project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders effectively. Knowledge of construction site operations combined with a background in construction management or related fields is highly desirable. $50.00 - $65.00 per hour
