Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management and estimating, with the ability to analyze project costs and prepare accurate estimates. This role is essential for ensuring that projects are completed within budget and on schedule, while maintaining high standards of quality. Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead. Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid to create and manage estimates effectively. Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to gather necessary information for accurate pricing. Conduct negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing. Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle of construction to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints. Review contracts and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements. Provide support during the bidding process by preparing bid documents and presenting estimates to stakeholders. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, pricing changes, and new materials or methods in construction. Experience Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field is required. Strong understanding of construction processes, cost control measures, and project management principles. Familiarity with contracts and negotiation techniques is essential. Previous experience working on construction sites is preferred to enhance understanding of practical applications. Proficiency in using estimating software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid is highly desirable. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all estimates provided.
