Position Summary The Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and timely quotes based on customer requests and project specifications. This role works closely with sales, site survey technicians, and engineering to coordinate information and ensure project deadlines are met. The Estimator manages multiple projects, maintains the estimating schedule, and supports customer communications as needed. The ideal candidate is a proactive team player with a strong understanding of sales dynamics and a collaborative approach to problem-solving. They are skilled at translating customer needs into compliant, cost-effective solutions and thrive in cross-functional environments where communication and cooperation drive success. Industry knowledge in fall protection systems, suspended access work, and applicable California OSHA codes is highly desirable, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance throughout the estimating process. Key Responsibilities Create detailed, accurate cost estimations for each project based upon gathered information. Manage estimating tasks in a timely and efficient manner. Collaborate with sales and engineering to resolve design/cost issues. Review site survey photos, video, drawings and satellite images. Create detailed, accurate cost estimations for each project based upon gathered information. Create detailed verbal descriptions of the site, system location and design for sales/customer use, and for engineering reference. Aid Site Survey technicians as necessary in evaluating the customer's site and system layout for quotation. Coordinate with Project Management and Engineering to discuss solutions and to plan for project execution. Join calls with clients and other department team members as needed for technical input. Ensure that estimating tasks align with project timelines and customer expectations. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Required Qualifications Ability to navigate construction documents with a focus on architectural and structural sets. Ability to accurately compile all required information from multiple sources on a timely basis. Background in job cost estimation, with a good understanding of the Structural Steel/Steel Fabrication and Building Construction industry. Good client/customer communication skills. Good analytical approach to problem-solving. Strong ability to align estimating work with sales and client value objectives. Excel in communication and team based projects. Proficient with MS Office. Preferred Qualifications Understanding or knowledge of OSHA, Cal/OSHA, ANSI
