Senior Construction Estimator - Commercial Construction & High-End Residential Ventura, CA Full-Time | Direct Hire | On-Site A well-established general contractor is hiring an experienced Senior Estimator to support preconstruction and estimating efforts for large-scale commercial construction and high-end residential projects. This role focuses on preparing accurate cost estimates, managing bids, and supporting multi-million-dollar construction projects from concept through final pricing. This is an excellent opportunity for a construction estimator with experience in both commercial and luxury residential builds who is looking for long-term stability and high-impact projects. Responsibilities Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and construction cost estimates Analyze blueprints, drawings, specifications, and contract documents Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids Perform bid leveling and develop accurate project budgets Provide value engineering options to optimize project costs Collaborate with project managers and preconstruction teams Maintain organized estimating files and historical cost data Participate in bid reviews and respond to RFIs and pricing questions Qualifications 5+ years of construction estimating experience Experience with commercial construction and high-end residential projects Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes Ability to manage multiple estimates, bids, and deadlines Strong attention to detail and accuracy Skills Proficiency in estimating and takeoff software (Bluebeam, Procore, Autodesk, Smartsheet) Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication and organizational skills Education Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred Compensation and Benefits Competitive salary (based on experience) Health insurance Vision insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Schedule Monday to Friday Work Location On-site in
