Reviews quantity survey assignment with lead estimator or Chief Estimator

Performs assigned quantity survey

Gives quantities of major purchase items to purchasing department for pricing

Transfers quantities to lead estimator

Performs general subtrade solicitation duties

Bids document control

Performs bid day assignments

Visits job sites periodically

Develops relationships with subcontractors

Other duties as assigned by the Chief Estimator

Qualifications Candidates must have a strong desire to work in a construction environment and prior field constructionexperience will be considered an asset.

Currently enrolled as a full-time student pursuing a degree relevant to the construction industry (e.g.construction management, construction engineering, construction technology, etc.)

Proof of eligibility to work in the United States and 18 years of age or older

Possess a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation to travel to and from the office

Able to work full time from May 2027 to August 2027

Application of various computer software programs will be required, including word processing, spreadsheetapplications and drafting.

Employment with PCL is contingent upon passing a criminal background check and substance abuse testconducted by a third party

The salary range for this position is between $18 and $24 an hour. PCL Intern wages are determined individually for each student based on the number of completed school terms, relevant work terms, kind of role and worklocation.
