Job Description
Estimator/Project Manager Job Description:
Responsible for developing and submitting project estimates; preparing project documents; conducting turn over meetings with operations; preparing change order requests and pay applications; and assisting with project close out procedures.Specific Responsibilities:
Review bid documents, site conditions, plans and specifications; prepare takeoffs; obtain subcontractor and material quotes; seek potential cost savings; develop pricing for proposed work; review bids and collaborate on final bid adjustments; and submit bids to owners Develop and maintain relationships and collaborate with engineers, owners, municipalities, clients, subcontractors, and co-workers Prepare and schedule turn over meetings and documents to ensure that operations teams understand the entire scopes of work, budgets, productions and schedules prior to the start of construction. Demonstrate a working knowledge of means and methods of commercial excavation and utility work Candidate Requirement Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as a member of a dynamic team Excellent time management skills Strong follow-up and organization High attention to detail and ability to deal effectively with numerous interruptions Drive to get results from vendors, subcontractors, and crews strong work ethic, great communication skills, and the ability to successfully juggle multiple priorities Required Education and/orExperience and Qualifications:
BS in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or equivalent related work experience 4 years construction estimating experience preference given to underground utility construction experience Ability to manage multiple bids and projects at the same time Proficiency with all MS Office products, as well as familiarity with construction specific take-off, and estimating software Experience with OST/Bluebeam is a plus Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Drug and Background checks apply Equal Opportunity Employer Eligible for Benefits after 60 days!
