Job Description
This is a full time position Monday through Friday . Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Ability to handle multiple projects. Must be able to submit bids and estimate costs. Familiar with architectural as well as structural steel estimating. Great location on western slope. Looking for long term employee with our respected company Must pass drug test. Summary As a Steel / Roofing Estimator, you will lead the budgeting and cost estimation of construction steel projects, reporting to the Project Estimator/Construction Manager. You will prepare accurate material and labor cost estimates, review blueprints, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely, cost-effective procurement. Your core expertise in estimating software, cost management, and reading construction drawings will drive bid accuracy and project profitability. Premium skills in Bluebeam and Tekla will enhance bid competitiveness, while related experience in contracts and site work supports seamless project execution. Responsibilities Develop accurate project cost estimates for steel construction projects, including material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs. Review blueprints and specifications to determine scope, quantity takeoffs, and bid strategies. Utilize estimating software and construction management tools to compile and manage cost data, risk factors, and contingencies. Collaborate with procurement and project teams; negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors as needed. Prepare bid packages and ensure compliance with contract requirements and timelines.
