Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Commercial Storefront Estimator / Quoter to join our team on-site in Apollo Beach, FL. In this role, you will be key to driving our commercial project pipeline—reviewing architectural blueprints, producing accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs), obtaining vendor pricing, and preparing competitive bid proposals for general contractors. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in the commercial glass and glazing industry, understands storefront system construction, and brings strong organizational and communication skills to bridge estimating with field management.

Key Responsibilities Blueprint & Specs Review:

Analyze architectural plans, elevation drawings, structural details, and specifications to scope storefront, window, and glazing requirements accurately.

BOM & Takeoffs:

Develop complete Bills of Materials (BOMs) detailing extrusions, glass types, hardware, sealants, and accessories.

Software Estimation:

Utilize GDS by WinBidPro software to model storefront elevation layouts, optimize material cut lists, and formulate detailed cost estimates.

Vendor Sourcing:

Work closely with glass fabricators and aluminum extrusion vendors to obtain timely material quotes and lead-time commitments.

Proposal & GC Follow-Up:

Prepare professional bidding proposals and proactively follow up with General Contractors to review project scopes, clarify assumptions, and secure contract awards.

Drafting Shop Drawings:

Create clear, accurate shop drawings and elevation layouts for contractor review and field execution.

Project Hand-off:

Seamlessly transfer won project details, final BOMs, and technical expectations to the Project Manager and/or Lead Field Technician to ensure smooth execution on job sites.

Qualifications & Requirements Experience:

Minimum 3 years of direct experience in estimating commercial glass, storefront systems, curtain walls, or architectural glazing (Required).

Software Proficiency:

Hands-on experience working with GDS software by WinBidPro (or equivalent glass estimation software) is required.

Technical Skills:

Proven ability to read and interpret architectural blueprints, structural drawings, and project specifications; experience creating detailed shop drawings and BOMs.

Communication:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact professionally with general contractors, vendors, and internal field operations teams.

Benefits & Compensation Competitive Base Pay:

$65,000

•$78,000 / year (hourly equivalent $31.25
