Job Description

"Estimator / Industrial Electrical" Florida Industrial Electric is hiring Electrical Estimators who work independently and with a team of Estimators from other disciplines, and Electrical Project Managers on various projects including but not limited to Design-Build Government projects, Industrial and Commercial. Reviews Proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required content of estimates Prepare estimates by calculating takeoff of scope of work Support other department personnel as required May review design options and recommend best solution based on cost, quality, schedule and availability of materials Maintain files of working documents for estimates including figures, Take-off quantities, current pricing lists, etc Demonstrates creativity and resourcefulness in completing tasks accurately and on schedule Demonstrates consistent ability to be dependable, consistent, diligent, and thorough; and
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty on a Professional level. Must have a GED or High School Diploma, Electrical Estimating or Journeyman's License a Plus, and show Problem Solving abilities while working independently or with a team.
Competencies:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of the following: Intermediate knowledge of math, electrical estimating construction materials and methods and tools involved in construction or repair Proficiency with Excel and Assembly based estimation software. Accubid knowledge a plus
