Job Description
Responsibilities Review architectural, structural, and project specifications. Prepare accurate cost estimates. Prepare proposals and bid packages. Request and review vendor and subcontractor pricing. Communicate with general contractors, architects, and project managers regarding scope and bid requirements. Track bid opportunities and maintain estimating logs. Assist with value engineering and alternate pricing. Maintain organized project files and estimating documentation. Work closely with the project management team during project turnover. Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and project scope. Review contracts, change orders, and project documentation to ensure alignment with project goals and financial targets. Assist in bid preparation, presentation, and follow-up activities to secure new business opportunities. Qualifications Strong math and analytical skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines. Self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
