You'll take ownership of competitive bids, develop accurate and strategic cost estimates, and help position the company to win and deliver outstanding projects. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong technical estimating expertise with commercial awareness, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple pursuits in a deadline-driven environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for heavy civil and site development projects Review plans, specifications, and bid documents to accurately define project scope Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and pricing Solicit, evaluate, and coordinate subcontractor and supplier pricing Manage RFIs and support bid clarifications throughout the preconstruction process Identify project risks, constructability challenges, and value-engineering opportunities Partner closely with operations and project management teams to ensure estimates align with execution strategies Contribute to winning work that shapes communities and infrastructure across Georgia What We're Looking For Proven estimating experience within heavy civil or site development construction Background working for a general contractor is essential Ability to read, interpret, and scale civil engineering drawings and specifications Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Experience managing multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously Microsoft Office proficiency; CAD experience is advantageous Must be based in, or open to relocating to, the Atlanta area Compensation & Benefits Highly competitive base salary Performance-based bonus structure Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Generous PTO and paid holidays Long-term career advancement opportunities Exposure to high-profile, career-defining projects Supportive and collaborative team environment Ready for the Next Step? $150,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
