PROJECT MANAGER / ESTIMATOR
Summit Electric USA, Inc. | Macon, Georgia $70,000 - $130,000 per year, depending on experience
ABOUT SUMMIT ELECTRIC USA
Summit Electric USA, Inc. is a Georgia-based industrial electrical contractor serving customers throughout the United States. We provide electrical planning, project management, construction, installation, and maintenance services for industrial facilities and projects nationwide. Our work includes industrial equipment and machine centers, PLC and control systems, building services, and large-scale capital projects. We are a growing company with a strong focus on safety, quality workmanship, and building long-term relationships with our clients.
THE POSITION
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager / Estimator to join our team. This position will be involved in estimating industrial electrical projects as well as supporting and managing projects from the bidding stage through completion. This is an in-person position based out of our Macon, Georgia office. The ideal candidate has a strong background in industrial electrical construction and understands the practical side of the work, including three-phase power, control systems, and building services. Because Summit performs projects throughout the United States, travel is required , and candidates must be willing to travel to project sites as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare estimates and proposals for industrial electrical projects Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and bid documents Perform material and labor takeoffs and develop project budgets and pricing Coordinate vendor and supplier pricing Assist with project planning, scheduling, and execution Work closely with field supervision, clients, vendors, and management Review project scope and identify potential risks, exclusions, and change-order opportunities Support projects from initial estimate through completion Travel to job sites throughout the United States as needed
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
Experience in the industrial electrical industry Prior field experience in industrial electrical construction is strongly preferred Strong knowledge of three-phase power systems Experience with industrial control systems Knowledge of electrical building services Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and project documents Experience preparing estimates and managing project costs Proficiency with Microsoft Excel Accubid estimating experience preferred Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to manage multiple projects, estimates, and deadlines
QUALIFICATIONS
Valid driver's license Ability and willingness to travel throughout the United States Project management and/or estimating experience
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
$70,000 - $130,000 annually, depending on experience Compensation will be determined based on industrial electrical experience, estimating experience, and project management experience. 100% company-paid employee health insurance premium Dental and vision insurance Company truck Paid time off (PTO)
