Commercial Painting EstimatorElite Pro Painting | Indianapolis, Indiana Elite Pro Painting is looking for an experienced Commercial Painting Estimator to join our growing team. We are not looking for someone who wants to learn how to estimate commercial painting. We are looking for someone who already knows how to do it. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 years of experience in the painting industry and is currently, or has recently been, estimating and bidding commercial painting projects for General Contractors. You understand the commercial construction world. You know how to read plans, specifications and scopes of work. You understand production rates, labor, materials, lifts, scaffolding, prep, coatings and the details that can make or break a commercial painting job. What You Will Do As our Commercial Painting Estimator, you will be responsible for developing commercial painting opportunities and turning them into profitable projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

Estimate commercial painting projects accurately and profitably Review architectural plans, specifications and bid documents Perform detailed quantity takeoffs Develop labor and material estimates Determine appropriate production rates and project costs Identify project requirements, exclusions and potential risks Prepare professional proposals for General Contractors, Property Managers, and Facility Managers. Submit competitive bids on time Develop and maintain relationships with General Contractors Pursue opportunities with existing and new GC relationships Attend pre-bid meetings and job walks Coordinate with project managers and production teams Follow up on submitted bids Track opportunities and maintain a strong commercial pipeline Work closely with leadership to establish appropriate margins and pricing Communicate clearly with GCs, vendors, subcontractors and internal team members

What We Are Looking For Required:

Minimum 5 years of experience in the painting industry A strong existing network of General Contractor relationships is highly valued. Commercial painting estimating experience Experience bidding directly to General Contractors Strong understanding of commercial painting production Ability to read plans and specifications Experience performing takeoffs and building detailed estimates Understanding of labor, material and equipment costs Strong computer skills Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines Strong attention to detail Ability to work independently while being a strong team player The Person We Want We are not simply looking for someone with experience.
