We are seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Estimator to produce accurate, competitive estimates for commercial, data center, and ITS electrical projects. The role focuses on quantity takeoffs, cost analysis, bid preparation, and supporting pre-construction activities to help secure projects and control costs. The ideal candidate combines strong electrical trade knowledge with estimating expertise and the ability to work with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to deliver timely, bid-ready proposals. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed electrical cost estimates and bid packages from drawings, specifications and RFP documents.
Perform takeoffs for conduit, conductors, raceways, devices, lighting, grounding, fire alarm, ITS, and other electrical systems using Accubid and Excel.
Develop material, labor and equipment quantities and pricing; build and maintain estimate databases and assemblies.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors and suppliers to verify scope, pricing and schedule assumptions.
Evaluate subcontractor proposals and incorporate trade pricing into final bids.
Participate in pre-bid and pre-construction meetings; review site conditions and clarification requests.
Produce complete bid submissions including scope narratives, clarifications, exclusions, and supporting documentation.
Perform value engineering and constructability reviews to optimize cost and schedule.
Maintain version control and documentation of estimates, bid results and lessons learned for continuous improvement.
Support the transition from estimating to project execution by providing takeoff backup, scope clarifications, and estimating documentation to project teams.
