Position Overview:

We are seeking an Estimator to join our team and play a key role in managing customer RFQs and supporting our quoting process. This role is ideal for someone with a machining background who is looking to transition off the floor into a more customer-facing and analytical position. You will work closely with customers, internal engineering, and operations to deliver timely, competitive quotes while helping us improve and modernize our estimating process.

Key Responsibilities:

Review and manage incoming RFQs from customers Communicate with customers regarding quote status, clarifications, and timelines Prepare quotes using technical drawings, 3D CAD models, historical data, and internal resources Prioritize RFQs based on customer importance, complexity, and fit Collaborate with internal engineering team on manufacturability and process approach Track and manage quote pipeline and follow-ups Support improvements to estimating systems and workflows

Qualifications:

Background in CNC machining, manufacturing, or related field strongly preferred Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings Estimating experience is a plus, but not required Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Practical, problem-solving mindset Preferred (Not Required): Experience with JobBOSS² or similar ERP systems Exposure to CAD/CAM or programming Interest in process improvement or technology (including AI-driven tools)

Compensation & Schedule:

Salary:

$70,000 - $95,000, based on experience Full-time, primarily onsite Some flexibility / hybrid potential depending on role and experience
