In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately assessing project costs, preparing detailed estimates, and collaborating closely with clients, project managers, and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and successful project execution. Your expertise will help drive profitable projects by managing cost control, analyzing blueprints, and interpreting technical drawings. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to diverse commercial construction projects and develop your career in a fast-paced industry. Responsibilities Review construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to determine project scope and requirements. Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services Analyze material requirements from blueprints and coordinate with suppliers to obtain accurate pricing. Manage project budgets by estimating costs effectively and implementing cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle. Negotiate with vendors, subcontractors, and clients to secure favorable pricing while maintaining quality standards. Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to ensure estimates align with project timelines and specifications. Utilize construction management software like Bluebeam, Xactimate, or equivalent programs for document review, markup, and communication. Interpret construction contracts and technical drawings to accurately assess scope of work and potential risks. Assist in managing bids, proposals, and client communications to support business development efforts. Qualifications Proven experience in managing projects as a construction estimator within the commercial construction industry. Strong proficiency in estimating Excellent blueprint reading skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings effectively. Solid understanding of construction management software tools and Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word). Demonstrated ability in cost management, material cost estimating, and pricing strategies for large-scale projects. Experience in negotiating contracts and managing client relationships confidently. Knowledge of construction site operations and construction industry standards is highly desirable. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in reviewing construction drawings and spreadsheets.
