Senior Estimator

• Metro Detroit, MI Full-Service Construction Firm | 50+ Years in Business | Strong, Growing Backlog We're partnered with a well-established construction firm with offices across Metro Detroit that's looking to add a Senior Estimator to their preconstruction team.

The Role:

Lead full estimating efforts on complex, large-scale projects from conceptual budgeting through final bid Develop detailed quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and bid packages Collaborate closely with preconstruction, project management, and self-perform teams Solicit, review, and level subcontractor and vendor pricing Participate in owner and design team meetings during preconstruction Track market pricing trends and maintain historical cost data Mentor junior estimators and support their development

What They're Looking For:

Significant experience estimating commercial, industrial, government, or health care construction projects Background with a construction management, design-build, or general contracting firm Strong command of estimating software and takeoff tools Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously Strong communication skills for coordinating with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams A collaborative, team-first mindset with a desire to mentor others
