Job Description

Estimator We are seeking an outgoing, detail-oriented individual to produce estimates and conduct related sales in our Iron Mountain office. This is a full-time position.
Duties:
Participate in bid assessment process Perform takeoffs from construction plans and specifications Create sales estimates based on these takeoffs Communicate with architects/engineers regarding material requirements and substitutions Coordinate with customers' bidding requirements Process orders based on the above estimates, including shop drawing submittals, purchase orders, and other sales related tasks. Interface with Purchasing and Billing departments as necessary Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent 1-2 years of experience in technical or building trades preferred Proficient in all MS Office, specifically MS Excel Basic understanding of manufacturing processes (welding, metal cutting/forming, assembly) Ability to read schematic diagrams is preferred. We are willing to train the right candidate. Familiarity with computer-aided design is a plus Knowledge of, and/or ability to learn, software such as Quickbooks, Planswift, and Soule is a plus Successful Candidates Will Also Possess the
