Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sales Assistant & Estimator to join our team. This is an entry- to mid-level position designed for someone interested in developing into a technical sales role within 18 - 24 months. The ideal candidate will be organized, professional, eager to learn, and comfortable working with both customers and technical staff. You will assist the sales team with project estimates, scopes of work, site assessments, inventory management, and the development of technology solutions for business clients. This position supports projects across a variety of technology systems, including structured cabling design, network and Wi-Fi systems, VoIP phone systems, IP surveillance, door access control, and related commercial technology solutions. The successful candidate needs to have a strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to learn new technologies and pricing models. The position will include overnight travel for project site visits, sales, and estimating activities. Essential Duties & Responsibilities A Sales Assistant & Estimators' primary responsibly is to assist the sales team with the following: Provide high-quality customer service to business clients Data entry for inventory management and purchasing Work with technical team to design custom project solutions Understand project scopes and assist in producing sales documentation such as facility/building print mark-ups, internal job costing and client Scopes of Work Write clear documentation for project status updates, work orders, emails, and other types of project-related activities Work with clients to assess technical and sales needs Coordinate and attend project site visits Basic Qualifications A qualified candidate offers: High school diploma or GED Experience in sales in the professional service industry and/or a professional work environment Maintain a valid Driver's License and ability to obtain a Chauffeur License Pass a drug screening Authorization to work in the United States Preferred Qualifications In addition to basic qualifications a preferred candidate offers an associate's degree or higher and one (1) year of experience or more in: Technical Sales Project management software Cabling design and deployment standards Wi-Fi deployment and network design IP surveillance systems Blueprint software review, understand of blueprints and site design plans VoIP phone systems and integrations Expected Behavior All SyncWave employees are expected to: Work well with other people and take directions Work and drive safely Possess strong organizational skills Be self-motivated and efficient Perform all work with careful attention to detail Be prompt and meet deadlines Draft detailed reports and notes with proficient writing ability Perform well under stress and be able to multitask Take responsibility for their work and make careful decisions Follow all company standards, policies, and procedures. Retain and protect confidential information Present themselves as professional and happy to assist customers Physical Demands Employees in the position must be able to: Stand and/or sit for long periods of time Walking frequent and extended distances Reach, bend, kneel, and stretch Work in elevated environments including ladders, roofs, and elevated aerial work platforms Have the manual dexterity to operate computer equipment, power tools, and hand tools. Have normal or corrected to normal range of sight and hearing Carry work-related materials and equipment up to fifty (50) pounds Working Environment Typical work performed will be in an office environment, but often site visits are performed both inside and outside. When outside, work is performed in all weather conditions. When inside, the environment can range from a construction site to a clean temperature-controlled space. Hours of work can vary to accommodate the client and/or project needs. Safety equipment and gear are often required to be worn. Interaction with clients, other subcontractors, and employees is a regular occurrence.
