Estimator
  • Reconstruction (Restoration Industry) Full-Time | 7:30am
  • 4:00pm $80,000
  • $90,000/yr + Commission Opportunities Royal Renovations is growing — and we're looking for an Estimator to join our team!
At Royal Renovations, we help homeowners put their lives and properties back together after unexpected damage. Our team handles reconstruction projects following water, fire, storm, and other property losses. We are looking for an estimator who can bring construction knowledge, attention to detail, and strong communication skills to every project. If you understand residential construction, can build an accurate scope of work, communicate confidently with insurance professionals and homeowners alike, and take pride in getting the details right, we want to talk to you. What You'll Do As an Estimator, you will be responsible for the timely, accurate, and profitable estimating of residential and commercial reconstruction projects. Key Responsibilities Visit residential properties to inspect damage and determine the appropriate scope of repairs. Meet with homeowners, adjusters, contractors, and other project stakeholders. Develop detailed scopes of work and accurate reconstruction estimates. Prepare estimates for insurance claims using Xactimate. Review insurance estimates and identify scope differences, omissions, and necessary revisions. Work with insurance adjusters to negotiate and reach agreement on appropriate repair scopes. Obtain and document measurements, photos, and project information. Coordinate with Project Managers to ensure a smooth transition from estimating to production. Assist with material selections, specifications, and construction requirements when needed. Obtain subcontractor and vendor pricing when appropriate.. Ensure estimates accurately reflect the work required, applicable building requirements, labor, materials, and subcontractor costs Maintain accurate project documentation in company systems Communicate project scope, expectations, and potential issues clearly to homeowners and internal team members Follow up on estimates and maintain appropriate documentation until projects are approved and ready for production Help identify additional opportunities or necessary work discovered during the estimating process Work collaboratively with the reconstruction, mitigation, and administrative teams What We're Looking For 3+ years of estimating experience in the restoration industry preferred. Experience estimating insurance restoration/reconstruction projects. Knowledge of Minnesota residential construction practices and building codes. Strong understanding of residential construction and repair methods Excellent communication and customer service abilities. Experience working with insurance claims, adjusters and TPAs. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Experience with restoration/construction software such as DASH, Xactimate, XactAnalysis, CoreLogic and DocuSketch preferred Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.   • Ability to walk, stand, bend, kneel, crouch, climb stairs, and navigate uneven or damaged areas of a jobsite.
  • Ability to safely access attics, crawl spaces, basements, garages, unfinished areas, and other locations necessary to inspect damage.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to approximately 40 pounds and operate measuring devices, tablets, cameras, and other inspection equipment.
  • Ability to work safely in varying conditions, including dust, debris, moisture, heat, cold, and other typical construction environments while wearing required PPE.
  • Ability to safely drive between job sites and perform extended periods of computer, tablet, and documentation work.
