Job Description

Commercial Estimator / Project Engineer - Drywall & Painting A well-established, employee-owned commercial specialty contractor is seeking an Estimator/Project Engineer to join its growing Minneapolis-area team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with early-career construction experience who wants to build a long-term career in estimating and project management.
Requirements:
2+ years of estimating experience in commercial drywall, painting, coatings, or specialty contracting Previous estimating, project engineering, project coordination, or field experience On-Screen Takeoff and/or Quick Bid experience Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Desire to build a long-term career within the commercial construction industry Comfortable working in an in-office, team-oriented environment
Responsibilities:
Review plans, specifications, and bid documents Perform detailed takeoffs for drywall, framing, ceilings, insulation, and related scopes Develop labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor pricing Prepare proposals, bid packages, exclusions, and clarifications Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing Identify scope gaps, project risks, and value-engineering opportunities Assist with change-order pricing and project turnover after award
Compensation, Benefits & Perks:
