Job Description Upchurch is seeking an Estimator to develop accurate, data-driven cost estimates for professional, scientific, and technical service projects. In this role, you will review scopes, drawings, and specifications to prepare detailed quantity takeoffs, labor and material breakdowns, and competitive proposals. You will collaborate closely with consultants and project managers to refine assumptions, assess risks, and support client decision-making. Responsibilities Analyze project drawings, specifications, and scope to develop detailed cost estimates and budgets. Prepare competitive bids and proposals, including assumptions, clarifications, and risk considerations. Perform quantity takeoffs and cost breakdowns for labor, materials, and subcontracted work. Solicit, evaluate, and reconcile vendor and subcontractor quotes. Collaborate with project managers and technical teams to refine scopes and estimate accuracy. Develop and maintain cost databases, unit prices, and historical benchmarks. Support client presentations with clear estimate summaries and cost options. Review project changes and prepare cost impact analyses and revisions to estimates.
