Epic Steel Corp. is Montana's largest manufacturer of metal roof and wall panels for residential and commercial building constructions located in Missoula. We are currently seeking a qualified Commercial Estimator to work with our team and support our growing business. This position would be responsible for expanding residential and commercial sales business through relationships with Architects and Spec Writers as well as the capability to offer takeoffs & process estimates. This individual shall possess the sales know-how to maximize profitability and increase brand recognition and business opportunities. This position is self-driven and open for growth along with the ability to ask for assistance when needed. Responsibilities Identify and develop a plan to target architects, hold specifications and gain substitution approvals. Answer application and technical (structural, building code, product, project, and process specific) questions in a timely fashion. Providing a high-level customer service in answering and following up on bids and estimates. Providing a high-level of customer service to architects and contributing input on industry and market trends. Working with contractors and homeowners assisting them with takeoffs and bids using Top-View, AutoDesk Design Review, Quickbooks and other takeoff software. Managing the companies material testing and certifications. Oversee and monitor compliance with building codes, engineering documents and other regulations. Keeping up to date with bids coming through the Plans Exchange. Some of the Requirements for the Position Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines. Ability to communicate with clients and staff professionally through phone calls,emails, and meetings Previous experience working hand in hand with architects and the process of getting metal roofing and siding products specked. Bachelor's degree in business or marketing preferred Ability and desire to make on site visits to perform field measurements and collect necessary bid information, when needed. Demonstrated experience moving prospects through proposal, evaluation, and negotiation. 2-5 years estimating experience with commercial metal roofing and wall panels is desired Ability to read and understand construction documents and blue prints Ability to learn and retain information on various product lines Unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction and commitment by conducting business with integrity and high ethical standards Ability to self-motivate, multi-task, work independently and as part of a team Mathematical aptitude, especially geometry, with strong attention to detail Valid driver's license and favorable motor vehicle report are a must What we can Offer You Challenging work environment with a rapidly growing, stable, privately and locally-owned company Competitive base pay with profit sharing bonus structure Comprehensive benefits package:
