Job Description Job Description Job Description Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Construction Estimator with a strong background in bridge construction and DOT projects across the Carolinas. This role will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates, supporting bid submissions, and collaborating closely with project teams to ensure successful project execution. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates for bridge and heavy civil construction projects , including DOT work Analyze project plans, specifications, and contract documents to determine scope and pricing Perform quantity takeoffs and develop labor, equipment, and material cost estimates Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers for bid development Conduct site visits as needed to assess project conditions and risks Assist with bid submissions, RFIs, and value engineering opportunities Maintain and update cost databases and historical pricing Ensure compliance with state DOT requirements and regulations across the Carolinas Qualifications Proven experience estimating bridge construction projects and/or heavy civil DOT work Strong understanding of DOT standards, specifications, and bid processes Proficiency with estimating tools; HCSS (HeavyBid or related software) is a plus Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Willingness to travel periodically for site visits Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) Experience working on projects in North Carolina and/or South Carolina What We Offer Competitive compensation and benefits package Opportunity to work on high-profile infrastructure projects Collaborative and growth-oriented team environment
