Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating and project management, with the ability to analyze project specifications, prepare accurate cost estimates, and contribute to successful project execution. This role requires a blend of technical skills and effective communication to negotiate contracts and manage relationships with clients and subcontractors. Duties Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates for construction projects. Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid for efficient estimating processes. Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to ensure accurate project pricing and cost control measures are in place. Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather necessary information for accurate estimates. Prepare detailed proposals and present findings to stakeholders, ensuring clarity in pricing structures and contract terms. Negotiate contracts with clients and subcontractors to secure favorable terms while maintaining project profitability. Monitor ongoing projects for adherence to estimated costs, making adjustments as necessary throughout the project lifecycle. Skills Proficiency in construction estimating software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid is essential. Strong negotiation skills to effectively manage contracts and client relationships. In-depth knowledge of construction processes, including site experience and construction management principles. Ability to implement cost control measures while ensuring quality standards are met. Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail for precise pricing calculations. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members, clients, and subcontractors. Experience in project management to oversee multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
