$50,000-$55,000 About Our Company Swift Construction is a growing commercial construction company committed to performing high end carpentry projects in the NYC area while building lasting relationships with our clients. We're looking for a motivated, organized, and eager-to-learn individual to join our team as a Junior Construction EstimatorThis is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in construction management. No previous estimating experience is required—we're looking for someone with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. We will provide hands-on training and mentorship. What You'll Do As a Junior Construction Estimator, you'll work alongside our experienced team members to help estimate projects, coordinate project leads, and support projects from initial bidding through the award process.
Responsibilities include:
Assist with reviewing construction plans and specifications. Perform quantity takeoffs with guidance from senior staff. Request pricing from suppliers. Help prepare project estimates and bid proposals. Track vendor quotes and organize bid documents. Assist with project setup and administrative tasks. Coordinate with management to organize new project invitations Visit job sites as needed to gain experience. Perform other duties that support the estimating team Qualifications Bachelor's degree. Construction Management is preferred, but any degree is a plus Little to no construction experience required but interest in learning. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Ability to learn new software and construction processes. Positive attitude, dependable, and eager to grow professionally. Must be proficient in math We're looking for someone who is: Motivated and eager to build a career in construction. Comfortable working exclusively in an office environment A strong problem solver who enjoys learning new skills. Organized and able to manage multiple tasks. A team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic. What We Offer Starting salary of $50,000-$55,000 based on experience. Opportunities for career advancement into Estimator or Project Manager roles. Paid time off and company holidays.
