Job Description
Position Summary The Project Estimator is responsible for setting up new projects in our sales management system, creating accurate scope assessments, and ensuring timely completion of deliverables through coordination with their assigned sales representatives. This role also works with suppliers to generate proposals which they will provide to the sales team. Primary Job Duties
- Receive and analyze new project submissions daily
- Input new projects into salesforce and server
- Complete accurate project assessments/take offs
- Generate cost proposals for in-house products
- Work with suppliers to get quotes for 3rd party products
- Generate installation estimates
- Independently analyze pricing and bid decisions on a project-to-project basis
- Produce quotes to be sent to customers
- Input project pricing into Salesforce
- Assist in the effort to close projects
- Assist in the hand off of closed projects to project management team
- Monitor takeoff and quote queues to ensure deadlines are met
- Maintain a strong attention to detail Education and Experience
- Experience with reading building plans and specifications
- Experience with construction estimating
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and codes
- Proficiency in CRM tools preferred
- Experience with gross profit margin preferred
- Experience with BlueBeam is preferred
- Experience with Procore or other project management software is preferred
- Experience with virtual meeting platforms Required Knowledge
- Building and Construction
- Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of houses, buildings, or other structures such as highways and roads.
- Sales and Marketing
- Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
- English Language
- Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
- Customer and Personal Service
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Economics and Accounting
- Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking, and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
- Education and Training
- Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.
- Mathematics
- Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.
- Design
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
Pay:
$75,000.00- $87,000.
