The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating, with the ability to analyze project specifications and develop accurate cost estimates. You will play a crucial role in the bidding process, ensuring that all estimates are competitive and reflective of project requirements. Duties Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and contract documents to prepare accurate estimates. Utilize construction estimating software such as Wendes or Trimble for cost analysis and bid preparation. Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for pricing. Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather data for accurate estimates. Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing for materials and labor. Prepare detailed reports summarizing estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs. Maintain organized records of estimates, and correspondence related to bidding. Experience Proven experience in Commercial Plumbing estimating or a related field is essential. Familiarity with construction site operations and management practices is highly desirable. Proficient in using estimating software such as Wendes, Trimble, or similar tools. Strong understanding of cost control measures within the construction industry.
