Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sandwich Maker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting delicious sandwiches and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced café environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and an eye for detail, ensuring that each sandwich is made to perfection while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety. Responsibilities Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to customer specifications and menu standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including food preparation surfaces and equipment. Operate cash register efficiently, processing customer transactions accurately. Assist customers with menu selections, providing recommendations and answering questions about ingredients. Ensure compliance with food handling and safety regulations at all times. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting shortages as needed. Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food service best practices. Experience Previous experience in the food service or culinary industry is preferred but not required. Familiarity with cash register operations and retail math is a plus. Strong understanding of food handling practices and food preparation techniques. Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A positive attitude and willingness to help team members as needed.
