Responsibilities Develop comprehensive construction estimates by reviewing blueprints, specifications, and project documents Conduct detailed quantity takeoffs and cost analyses to establish accurate pricing for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services. Collaborate with project managers and clients to understand project scope, schedule, and budget requirements. Negotiate contracts and pricing terms with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors to secure the best value for the company. Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to budgets through effective cost control strategies. Assist in bid preparation by compiling all necessary documentation, ensuring compliance with client requirements and company standards. Support construction site teams by providing estimating insights that facilitate efficient project management and resource allocation. Qualifications Proven experience in paving estimating with a strong understanding of construction management principles. Solid knowledge of paving operations, contracts, pricing strategies, and cost control techniques. Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively with vendors, subcontractors, and clients. Hands-on experience in paving environments that enhances understanding of field conditions impacting estimates. Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent communication skills to clearly articulate estimates, negotiate terms, and collaborate across teams.
