Pay:
$45,000 per year base salary, plus performance-based bonus and commission — total compensation potential up to $100,000 per year

With more than 60 years of experience, we deliver safe, reliable electrical services for healthcare facilities, schools and colleges, industrial sites, retail complexes, wastewater treatment plants, correctional facilities, and other public and private projects. Job Description Rondout Electric is hiring a detail-oriented Electrical Estimator to support our commercial and industrial project pipeline. You'll review plans and specifications, build accurate cost estimates, prepare competitive bid packages, and work closely with vendors, project managers, and field leadership from bid through project handoff. This is a strong opportunity for someone with electrical construction or estimating experience who wants to grow with an established, financially stable Hudson Valley contractor — with earning potential well above base salary through bonus and commission. Responsibilities Review electrical drawings, specifications, addenda, and bid documents Perform accurate material and labor takeoffs Request and evaluate pricing from suppliers and subcontractors Develop competitive project estimates and bid proposals Identify project risks, exclusions, and scope requirements Maintain organized estimating files and historical cost data Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed Coordinate with project managers and field leaders during project handoff Track bid deadlines, outcomes, and follow-up activity Assist with change-order pricing and other estimating support Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Experience in electrical construction, estimating, or project coordination preferred Working knowledge of electrical materials, systems, and construction practices Ability to read blueprints and technical specifications Strong math, analytical, and organizational skills Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and general business software Estimating software experience preferred Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines Professional communication and teamwork skills Valid driver's license may be required for site visits Compensation & Benefits Base salary: $45,000/year Performance-based bonus and commission — total compensation potential up to $100,000/year Full-time, on-site position Equal Opportunity Employer Rondout Electric, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
