Job:

We are seeking an Estimator to bid and produce accurate, winning bids for new projects. The ideal candidate will have a track record in commercial construction estimating and bring exceptional organizational and communication skills to our team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Estimate commercial drywall and acoustical ceilings projects.
• Accurately read and interpret architectural, MEP, and shop drawings/plans.
• Prepare detailed takeoffs and budget lists.
• Develop and submit proposals to General Contractors.
• Complete and present comprehensive leveling sheets.
• Collaborate with Project Managers on change order pricing.
• Ensure thorough understanding of all project specifications, plans, exhibits, and RFIs.
• Participate in site walk-throughs in the NYC Tri-state area, Long Island, Westchester, and NJ.
• Source and request quotes from qualified vendors and subcontractors.

Qualifications:

• Experience as a commercial construction Estimator, with a preference for NYC Union Carpentry experience.
• Strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in estimating software; experience with Plexxis WinBid is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to multitask, manage risk, set priorities, and maintain focus under pressure.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.
