Estimator ServiceMaster by Isler is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will be responsible for inspecting property damage, developing accurate and detailed estimates, and working with customers, insurance carriers, adjusters, and internal team members throughout the restoration process. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in the restoration industry and is highly proficient in Xactimate . This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to produce accurate estimates in a timely manner. Key Responsibilities Inspect residential and commercial properties to assess damage from water, fire, smoke, mold, storms, and other covered losses. Prepare accurate, detailed estimates using Xactimate . Create and maintain complete estimate documentation, including measurements, photographs, scope of work, and supporting documentation. Develop detailed scopes of work based on site inspections and industry standards. Communicate with homeowners, insurance adjusters, property managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders. Review estimates with customers and insurance representatives and address questions or discrepancies. Work closely with project managers and production teams to ensure estimates accurately reflect the approved scope of work. Revise estimates as necessary when additional damage or unforeseen conditions are discovered. Maintain accurate project records and documentation. Monitor estimates for accuracy, completeness, and profitability. Stay current with restoration estimating practices, insurance requirements, and applicable industry standards. Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and customer service. Required Qualifications Proven experience writing restoration estimates in Xactimate is required. Previous experience as an estimator in the restoration, construction, insurance, or property damage industry. Strong understanding of residential and/or commercial construction. Ability to accurately read and interpret property damage and construction conditions. Strong knowledge of estimating line items, labor, materials, equipment, and applicable restoration processes. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to conduct property inspections and travel to job sites as needed. Preferred Qualifications Xactimate certification or extensive demonstrated experience with Xactimate. IICRC certifications or restoration industry training. Experience working directly with insurance adjusters and third-party administrators. Experience in Construction Experience with water, fire, smoke, mold, and storm damage restoration. Experience with both residential and commercial losses. Knowledge of insurance claims processes and restoration documentation.
