Youngstown Area Hiring an experienced Reconstruction Insurance Estimator to join our growing restoration team. This person will play a key role in turning insurance losses into accurate, complete reconstruction scopes and estimates—from initial inspection through carrier approval, supplements, and handoff to production. The right candidate must be highly knowledgeable in Xactimate and comfortable working directly with homeowners, insurance adjusters, project managers, subcontractors, and office staff. What you'll do Inspect residential and commercial properties after water, fire, storm, mold, and other property losses Create detailed reconstruction estimates and scopes of work using Xactimate Document losses with measurements, photos, notes, and supporting job documentation Review insurance carrier estimates and identify missing scope, pricing differences, and supplement opportunities Prepare and negotiate supplements and change orders with insurance adjusters and carriers Develop scopes for demolition, framing, drywall, flooring, painting, roofing, trim, cabinetry, and specialty trades Work closely with project managers to ensure a complete handoff from estimating into reconstruction Communicate professionally with customers throughout the insurance and reconstruction process Maintain organized job files, estimate documentation, and timely communication with all parties Help protect job profitability by accurately scoping work, tracking revisions, and identifying cost issues early What we're looking for Strong, hands-on Xactimate experience is required Experience estimating insurance restoration and reconstruction projects Solid knowledge of residential and commercial construction methods, materials, and pricing Experience working with insurance adjusters, carrier scopes, supplements, and approvals Ability to read damage, create a full scope of work, and identify overlooked items Strong written communication, organization, and attention to detail Confident negotiation skills and professional customer-service skills Ability to manage multiple active estimates and meet deadlines Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Experience with Xactanalysis, Symbility, Matterport, Encircle, or similar restoration tools is a plus Preferred background 2+ years of insurance restoration estimating, reconstruction estimating, or related construction-estimating experience Experience with water, fire, storm, mold, and large-loss reconstruction claims Knowledge of local building practices, permit requirements, and code-related repairs Prior experience coordinating with project managers and subcontractors Familiarity with job costing and protecting gross-profit margins What we offer Full-time position Short term/ Long term disability PTO Paid holidays off Competitive pay based on experience Opportunity to work with an established and growing restoration company Supportive team environment Meaningful work helping homeowners and businesses recover after property damage Career growth potential within reconstruction operations To apply: Please send your resume and a brief summary of your Xactimate and insurance-restoration estimating experience.
