Job Description
Project Manager/EstimatorPosition OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented Project Manager/Estimator to support our commercial construction team. The ideal candidate will lead preconstruction estimating and bidding efforts, perform accurate quantity takeoffs and blueprint interpretation, manage RFIs and subcontractor coordination, and oversee project cost control and scheduling to ensure projects are delivered on budget and on time.
Key ResponsibilitiesPerform detailed takeoffs and quantity surveys from construction drawings and specificationsPrepare comprehensive cost estimates and scope breakdowns for commercial construction projectsDevelop, assemble, and submit competitive bids and proposals to owners and general contractorsReview and interpret blueprints, plans, and technical specifications to identify scope, conflicts, and constructability issuesManage preconstruction documentation including RFIs, submittals, clarifications, and bid packagesCoordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, architects, and engineers to solicit pricing and clarify scopeCreate and maintain project schedules and track milestones; communicate schedule impacts to stakeholdersMonitor project budgets, track change orders, cost variances, and provide regular forecast updatesLead pre-bid and project meetings, and maintain organized project documentation and recordsEnsure compliance with contract requirements, safety standards, and quality expectationsQualifications5+ years of experience in commercial construction estimating and project management (or equivalent)Proven ability to perform accurate takeoffs and prepare detailed estimatesStrong experience preparing bids and managing the bidding processProficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, plans, and construction specificationsExperience managing RFIs, submittals, and preconstruction documentationDemonstrated knowledge of construction means and methods, cost drivers, and value engineeringExcellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, and organizational skillsProficiency with estimating software and common office toolsDegree or certificate in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferredMicrosoft Project experience is a plus (nice-to-have)BenefitsCompetitive SalaryPTO and HolidaysMedicalDental and VisionRetirement OptionCompany Bonus Incentives
