This position is for a Window and Door Estimator and Project Manager, for the Residential Services division of Alderfer Glass Co Inc. The holder of this position will sell and estimate window and door related residential glass projects including: replacement windows, entry doors, patio doors, storm doors, window parts, custom glass projects and more. Applicants should have a desire for sales and strong self motivation. The job includes primarily office based work and sales, but may include periodic road sales at customer homes. May also include jobsite visits and assistance with company installers. Your primary focus will be providing high-quality service, accurate estimates and pricing, quick response times, while maintaining and encouraging a positive customer experience. This is a role for a person who thrives on multi-tasking, works well with people, is capable of managing details and complexity, and can work proactively to find solutions for problems and challenges. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or higher and will have two to five years of experience in construction and/or estimating in a building environment. Glass industry experience and knowledge is preferred but not required. Training will be provided. Candidates with related skills and lower experience levels will be considered - please apply! Strong written and spoken communication skills is a must. Strong computer skills will be required top operate POS and bidding software. Valid drivers license is required as you may travel to customer sales meetings in company vehicles. Overall computer proficiency and experience with e-mail and Microsoft Office is required, and knowledge of CAD software is a plus. In this role, you will be required to frequently lift items over 20lbs. and may occasionally lift items over 50lbs.
