A-1 Kendrick Fence Company is looking for an experienced Remote Bid Estimator to join our commercial team. This position is responsible for reviewing construction plans and specifications, completing accurate material and labor takeoffs, preparing competitive proposals, and managing bid opportunities from initial review through submission. This is a fully remote position, but it is not a freelance or part-time estimating role. We are looking for someone who will be an active part of our commercial team, communicate consistently with our office and sales staff, meet bid deadlines, and take ownership of their estimating pipeline. Then I'd add these requirements: Proven construction estimating experience; commercial estimating experience strongly preferred Ability to read construction plans, specifications, addenda, and bid documents independently Experience with digital takeoff/estimating software and online bidding platforms Reliable high-speed internet and a dedicated remote workspace Available during normal A-1 Kendrick business hours for calls, meetings, and coordination Strong written and verbal communication Ability to work independently without constant supervision Highly organized and able to manage multiple bids and deadlines Comfortable communicating with general contractors, vendors, and internal project teams Fence, gate, or access-control estimating experience is a plus I would also change What Success Looks Like for the remote position: Success in this position is measured by production and results. Bids are accurate and submitted on time. Opportunities are followed up on. The estimating pipeline stays current and organized. Communication with the A-1 Kendrick team is consistent, and questions or potential problems are addressed before bid day—not after. The goal is not simply to complete takeoffs; it is to help turn qualified opportunities into profitable awarded projects.

Pay:

$60,161.15 - $80,817.73 per year
