In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive project bids, developing comprehensive estimates, and managing cost data to ensure profitable project execution. Responsibilities Prepare detailed bids and estimates for commercial construction projects by technical drawings, and specifications. Utilize estimating software such as Bluebeam to develop accurate project budgets, material requirements, and labor costs. Review construction drawings thoroughly to interpret technical details, identify potential issues, and determine material quantities. Manage project estimates from initial concept through final bid submission. Maintain organized spreadsheets and databases using Microsoft Office tools to track bid progress, pricing data, and project documentation. Support project managers with accurate estimation of budgets, resource planning, and contract review to facilitate successful project delivery. Stay current with industry trends in construction estimating techniques, software updates like Bluebeam and HeavyBid, and best practices in construction management. Qualifications Proven experience managing projects as a construction estimator within the commercial construction industry. Strong proficiency in estimating software such as Bluebeam; familiarity with construction management software is a plus. Excellent blueprint reading skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings accurately. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel spreadsheets for data analysis and reporting. Construction industry experience with a focus on estimation for commercial projects.
