Job Description
We are an established Overhead Door service and installation company based in Mesa, AZ. We are seeking a detail-oriented Commercial Estimator (bid work) to join our team on a contract basis. We are open to part-time and remote workers. Our Commercial Estimator will be responsible for evaluating bid specifications and blueprints, completing take-offs regarding overhead doors, dock equipment, etc. and creating estimates for these projects. Working with our team in Mesa our Commercial Estimator will collect vendor quotes and properly estimate labor costs. Once the quote is complete our team in Mesa will then work with the general contractors and architects to ensure bids are received, understood, and complete. Our team in Mesa will attend pre-bid meetings and walkthroughs.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- 3 years' experience in commercial estimating of overhead doors/dock projects
- Ability to understand bid documents, blueprints and bid process.
- Ability to generate accurate take-offs and estimates from construction plans/drawings taking into consideration time, cost, material, and labor estimates.
- Excellent mathematical skills and strong computer/technical skills.
- Strong communication skills and the discipline to document all activities in CRM system.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple bids and projects at the same time.
- A positive and upbeat attitude.
