Commercial Roofing Estimator / Bidder — 25-30% Gross Profit Target Beck Commercial Roofing engineer owned is looking for an experienced Commercial Roofing Estimator / Bidder who knows how to win profitable work. We are not looking for someone whose goal is simply to be the lowest bidder. We need an estimator who understands commercial roofing, accurately scopes projects, controls costs, identifies risk, and builds competitive bids targeting 25-30% gross profit margins . What You'll Do Estimate and bid commercial roofing projects Build bids targeting 25-30% gross profit , depending on project and market conditions Perform accurate material, labor, equipment, subcontractor, freight, and overhead takeoffs Review plans, specifications, addenda, bid documents, and roof reports Identify scope gaps and costly exclusions before bids are submitted Obtain and negotiate supplier and subcontractor pricing Prepare competitive proposals without sacrificing profitability Track bid results and continuously improve pricing strategy Work closely with ownership, sales, project management, suppliers, and operations Help identify projects where Beck Commercial Roofing has the best opportunity to win at strong margins Roofing Systems Candidates should have estimating experience with several of the following:

Modified Bitumen Built-Up Roofing Metal Roofing Roof Coatings Commercial Re-Roofing Roof Replacement Repairs Who We're Looking For The ideal candidate has: 3+ years of commercial roofing estimating experience preferred Strong understanding of commercial roofing labor and material costs Proven ability to produce accurate, profitable bids Experience reading construction plans and specifications Knowledge of estimating/takeoff software Strong Excel and computer skills Excellent attention to detail Understanding of gross profit, markup, change orders, and job costing Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously A competitive mindset with strong financial discipline What Success Looks Like We want someone who understands one simple principle: Revenue is important.
