Estimator/Cost Consultant

Responsibilities Develop comprehensive construction estimates by analyzing project plans, specifications, and bid documents using industry-standard software such as On Screen Takeoff and Bluebeam. Collaborate with clients, design teams, project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather accurate pricing data. Perform detailed quantity take-offs and cost analyses to establish realistic budgets and identify potential cost savings opportunities. Monitor project costs throughout the design process, ensuring adherence to budgets through effective cost control strategies. Contribute to projects by providing accurate forecasts, supporting schedule development, and facilitating communication between stakeholders. Skills Proficiency in construction estimating software such as On Screen Takeoff and Bluebeam is essential for accurate estimate preparation and document management. Solid understanding of construction estimating principles, including quantity take-offs, pricing strategies, and cost control techniques. Hands-on experience with construction activities and understanding of construction management processes. Knowledge of contracts, project management methodologies, and the overall construction lifecycle. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate across teams and present detailed estimates clearly.
