Estimator / Project ManagerJob Overview We are seeking a motivated, experienced, and results-driven Estimator / Project Manager to join our growing team. This position is responsible for generating new business, preparing accurate project estimates, managing projects from contract award through completion, and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will possess strong sales, estimating, and project management skills, along with the ability to build lasting client relationships and effectively coordinate with field crews, subcontractors, and vendors. This individual will play a vital role in driving company growth while ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities Estimating & Sales Generate new business through networking, referrals, and strategic prospecting. Conduct site visits to evaluate project scope and prepare accurate estimates. Prepare and present professional proposals and estimates to prospective clients. Educate customers on the company's services and recommend solutions that best meet their needs. Follow up on submitted proposals to answer questions, negotiate project details, and secure contracts. Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers. Develop strategies to increase sales and identify opportunities for business growth. Monitor market trends and competitor activities to maintain a competitive advantage. Attend networking events and community functions to promote the company's services and brand. Maintain accurate records of leads, estimates, contracts, and customer communications. Submit weekly sales and project activity reports. Project Management Manage projects from initial estimate through final completion. Define project scope, schedules, budgets, and project objectives. Coordinate project schedules with customers, field crews, subcontractors, and vendors. Obtain pricing and procure materials from suppliers and subcontractors. Monitor project budgets, labor, materials, and overall profitability. Conduct regular job site visits to monitor progress, ensure quality control, and verify compliance with safety standards. Communicate project updates, schedules, and expectations with customers, management, and field personnel. Resolve project challenges, scheduling conflicts, and customer concerns in a timely and professional manner. Process change orders and maintain accurate project documentation. Perform final project walkthroughs to ensure customer satisfaction and successful project closeout. Leadership & Customer Relations Supervise and support field crews to ensure projects are completed efficiently and safely. Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment focused on accountability, professionalism, and quality workmanship. Deliver exceptional customer service throughout every stage of the project. Collaborate with office staff, operations, and the marketing team to improve processes and support business growth. Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company standards, industry best practices, and customer expectations. Qualifications Previous experience in estimating, project management, sales, or the tree care, landscaping, or construction industry preferred. Strong knowledge of estimating, budgeting, scheduling, and project management principles. Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, CRM software, and estimating or project management software. Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
