Job Description
Estimating path to senior leadership Local projects with a 47-year builder About Our Client Our client is a respected regional general contractor with decades of success delivering commercial and public-sector projects. Their reputation has been built on long-term client relationships, local market expertise, and a collaborative culture where leadership remains actively involved in every project. Job Description Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial and municipal construction projects. Analyze project drawings, specifications, and other documents to identify project requirements. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to ensure accurate project scoping. Source and evaluate quotes from subcontractors and suppliers. Develop and maintain a database of cost information for materials and labor. Assist in value engineering to optimize project costs and efficiency. Present cost estimates and proposals to stakeholders in a clear and professional manner. Monitor project budgets and adjust estimates as necessary to reflect changes in scope or conditions. The Successful Applicant A successful Estimator should have: 5-15 years of construction estimating experience Experience with commercial, institutional, or municipal projects Strong understanding of construction means, methods, and pricing Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously Excellent communication and relationship-building skills What's on Offer $100,000 - $125,000 base salary + benefits Direct mentorship from ownership with a path to increased leadership responsibility Diverse project portfolio ranging from commercial work to $20M+ municipal projects Health insurance, 401(k), vehicle allowance, and all projects located within a local travel radius
