Assistant Estimator for Electrical Contractor CapStar Electric - 5.0 Georgetown, TX Job Details Full-time $30 - $35 an hour 7 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance Life insurance Qualifications Bluebeam Revu Customer communication Construction specifications Industrial electrical equipment installation projects Accubid Construction plans Construction drawing review Productivity software ProCore Commercial electrical systems Full Job Description Overview The Assistant Estimator aids in upholding the Capstar Family's culture and commitment to excellence by aiding the Pre-Construction Team in performing fundamental and important estimating tasks such as bid set-up, constructing a thorough and complete material list, takeoff, document organization, and proposal assembly. Working, learning, and growing under close supervision, the assistant estimator maintains accuracy, quality, organization, efficiency, and timeliness to ensure our clients receive excellent pricing in a timely manner thereby contributing to the long-term success of the Capstar Family as well as the assistant estimator. Daily Tasks Review RFQs, extract project documents, and identify missing information. Organize and file documents utilizing Bluebeam and Procore while following Capstar document management protocols. Request pricing from subcontractors and suppliers. Perform digital counts and takeoff utilizing Accubid and Livecount. Communicate professionally and timely with internal and external customers as well as our project partners. Deliver accurate, organized, and professional proposals in a timely manner. Perform other duties as assigned to support the Capstar Family.
What will be required:
Impeccable integrity, dependability, team mentality, and work ethic. Experience in the electrical field installing electrical systems within the commercial and/or industrial markets. The ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Professionalism in action, communication, and teamwork. Familiarity with or willingness to learn Accubid, Livecount, Bluebeam, Procore, and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and organizational discipline. Ability to follow systems and processes consistently while proactively multitasking and prioritizing work with a sense of urgency. Well-groomed, neat appearance including being dressed appropriately for the position and the occasion (such as meetings), to continually and consistently present Capstar and self in the best light possible. Desire to be a part of something greater than yourself. Drive to bring excellence to everything you do. Ability to work in an office environment most of the time, sitting or standing at a computer. 40-50 hours per week or more if deadlines require.
